Home again :)

It was nice to see all my dedicated followers and readers that they were wanting me to return quickly to keep blogging. I can just say, Thailand was amazing. Id reccomend it to anyone. I will post pictures soon :D

And for all the mac vs. pc debaters out there, I caved into buying a macbook pro 13" yesterday. Its amazing and i have to say, its exactly what i need for university.

Its easy to carry around, its simple (yet so powerful) and great for my essays.

I hope to catch up on everyones posts soon!

Matthew Perry loving the Sunshine.

Mr. Sunshine aired last night on ABC, and already there is mixed comments on how it went.

Personally, I felt it was great (Im biased because I think he's one of the better actors around- tied first with Morgan Freeman)

The comedy had well written lines and was not begging for laughter.

The kind of comedy you would find in Friends or Studio 60.

I hope well for him, and hope that it lasts for more than a season!

Thoughts? What series are you currently watching? Any suggestions?

If you know your movies, you know that this cottage is the film location for the Harry Potter films.

Recently, I have taken upon a university film project and I need to find websites that display Harry Potter pictures of the set.

Preferably ones with green and blue screens. The picture above shows theres a lake, so pretty much im comparing the surrounds to the movie.

Floods again!

Torrential rain has caused widespread flash flooding across parts of Melbourne. Austhorities are warning of more on the way.

I think this is seriously scary, considering all these natural disasters in this country. And its not just Australia. I started reading the news more in depth about the United States and the snow storm they've been having. I think (help me if im wrong) up to 3/4 of a metre of snow fallen on most of the country?

Now I know how the affected feel, last night over 100mm of rain fell on the town i live in, creating flooding, and making it hard to commute to and fro work.

It got me thinking, how many people have been effected by floods/snow storm etc? Anything natural? Comment below and let me know!

Thoughts on social drinking.

I just recently arrived home from a normal 10 hour shift at work tonight behind a bar. 2pm - 12 am serving beer to customers. Whilst working tonight (and if no body already realises this, I'm Australian) I wondered why the United States has a drinking age of 21. 21? Why is the age so high? This got me thinking: "Aussies are brought up with alcohol from a young age, so why is the USA 21?

I got thinking, why the hell is the USA have a drinking age of 21?

At the age of 16, you can legally have sex with anyone older than you, (even someone who is 87), marry them and have children.

You can be independent, have a tax file number and work for a living

Drive a car, and be responsible for your life and the life of others, but the most important point that i don't understand:

You can join the army, shoot and kill someone (I call this close to murder) in war at the age of 18 in the USA, but you can't have a social beer with mates or even your father at the dinner table.

These are only a few points I wanted to talk about. But it got me thinking. Shooting and killing someone, yet not having a beer? Americans who are 18 - 20 - I feel for you, and I dont understand.

Lets ruin a TV show before it begins!

I really don't understand why television shows now-a-days depend on actors that will "lift" a show. Fair enough, ABC wants to make Mr. Sunshine a massive hit this season, but by grabbing some actor out of thin air that appeals to a bunch of 13 year old aphids who want to marry him?

This is what actually makes me sad to see that a show that has decent actors will go (to put it bluntly, shit-house) because they throw in anything to make it popular.

I can tell you, 'Studio 60 on The Sunset Strip' was good. It was excellent. It didn't have 'fart' jokes in it, it had ironic humor (which many dont get) and was clean. It was sharp and witty. Before that show was cancelled, it didn't throw in RJW or Fred or some other pathetic blood sucking you-tuber.

What's next? Justin Bieber? Oh I fucking hope not.

So that massive cyclone is beginning to pass, and luckily no-one has died or been seriously injured.

Thankfully, after Cyclone Larry, many houses were built to withstand category 5 strengths, so it was not a repeat of Hurricane Katrina or Cyclone Larry.

Although there is one factor that you cant really protect, being Banana crops. Because Queensland supplies Australia with something like 90% of bananas, the price per kilo will now sky rocket due to the destruction of 85% of the crops.

It all comes down to supply and demand. little stock and big demand? For the next 8 weeks, be prepared to probably pay $40 a kilo ($40.50 USD for 2.2 pounds) for your bananas.

Comparison of hurricanes

Great image comparing the cyclones/typhoons/hurricanes that devastated Australia and the US.
I have family up north and I really hope they're okay. I just could not imagine how bad HK would have been. Yasi is currently just as strong as Katrina was, but Katrina was much, much bigger.

I hope my fellow Aussies are alright!

Words cannot even describe how a majority of Australia is feeling right now. This cyclone is set to hit 11pm tonight AEST, and it's a category 5. Many people say that it will be the same magnitude as Hurricane Katrina, but these winds will only be 50 kmp/h less.

Still, it will be scary. I took the above picture from the tele on the news today. Fucking unbelievable.

Move your ass, tree!

Began a road trip down the river to go fishing (in our favorite spot too!).. Too bad this tree got in the way and we had to go around to another area down stream.

Because of the hot weather in northern in this state this month, Ill be damned to sit at home and do nothing, go fishing instead, and have a few tinnies while i'm at it.

The sad news is that we didnt catch anything. I blame that tree.

I seriously cannot wait until this airs on ABC 9th February.

After a seriously long acting hiatus from Matthew Perry, It's about time we see him back on TV.

I Just hope that he performs just as well as he did on 'Friends' and 'Studio 60 on the Sunset Strip' (Which shouldn't have gotten cancelled!)

It looks good, full of humor and paired up with Allison Janney? Unbelievable pair, definitely a 10 for 10!
